[VIDEO] Flexirod Set on my Relaxed/Texlaxed Hair (tutorial)

October 5, 2015

Here’s my flexirod set on my freshly washed relaxed-transitioning to texlaxed hair.

The items I used are:
Creme of Nature with Argan Oil Strength and Shine Leave-In Conditioner
Eco Curl n Style Cocktail
Cantu Coconut Oil Shine & Hold Mist
– Wide Tooth Rake Comb
– Small Tooth Tail Comb
– Butterfly Hair Clamps
Flexirod (orange) 5/8
Flexirod (blue) 9/16
– Hair Fishnet
OGX Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum

Steps:

Section off & detangle: using a wide tooth rake comb

Coat small sections: with styling products. The cocktail first, followed by the spray.

Part off: a smaller section and gently comb through with a small tooth comb to smooth the hair out; preventing lumps and tangles.

Start by: gathering the base of the hair and wrapping it around the flexirod, spiraling upwards. Ensure that your ends are tucked and covered or else it will result in your curl unraveling.

Twist: the flexirod and tuck-in under or over (depending on which direction in which you spiraled), securing the curler in place.

Sit: underneath a hooded dry or let air dry.

Coat: fingers with a moisturizing serum and gently unravel the flexirods while separating each individual curl.

At night, I run a light oil through my hair (preferably coconut or jojoba), pin curl each curl and slip my satin bonnet on. The next morning I fluff out my hair as needed. <3

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them below in the comments section!
