Step – by – Step
After washing and deep conditioning, I t-shirt dried my hair for about 10-15 minutes just to dry up some of the water.
I sprayed my hair generously with ApHogee’s Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer, Creme of Nature’s Argan Oil Strength and Shine Leave-In Conditioner and then Uniq One’s All In One Hair Treatment.
Before I started detangling, I parted my hair off into 4 sections for easier manageability.
Starting with the back right section, I applied a nickel sized amount of Fantasia’s IC Heat Protector Straightening Serum and began detangling as gently as I could with my Wide Tooth Rake Comb. I moved in a clockwise direction and worked my way to the back-left, front-left, then front-right (focussing on my bangs/swoop). When detangling, whether my hair is wet or dry, I make sure to hold my hair to prevent any pull-outs from the roots. Once all sections have been tangled individually, I pinned them back up with butterfly clamps.
Starting with the back-right section again, I began blow drying with my dryer on Medium Heat, and High Speed. I run the dryer over my hair while running my fingers through my hair with my fingers before combing through with the long tooth attachment. Since the hair is most fragile and prone to stretching and snapping when wet, I do this to prevent any unnecessary breakage. Blow drying can be damaging if not done carefully.
As like detangling, I work clockwise, moving from the back-right section to the back-left, to the front- left then finishing with my bangs/swoop in the front-right.
When all of my hair is completely dry, I finish up by giving my hair a shot of cool air to seal back up all of my cuticles =) | For this I put my blow dryer’s settings on [COOL] & [HIGH].
& Boom! Seven Steps! Easy Peezy!
