Yeps. That’s right!

On the night of Sunday November 13th, 2016 (My 27th Birthday Eve) my boyfriendddd—now fiance got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! ?? Not only was it a surprise birthday party for me but also an engagement celebration that we shared with our closest family and friends. I still give him major brownie points till this day for pulling it all off without my nosy self finding out! haha! Since that night we’ve been running from venue to venue, from church to church and every other vendor needed to pull off the ultimate 320+ guest wedding of our dreams! My advice to any man or woman planning a wedding?

1. Make a “planning” binder
“It’ll help you manage your vendors and it’s a great place to keep your receipts, paperwork and contracts. They’ll be a few of them!’

2. Narrow down every pamphlet that’s thrown in your direction (you wont need 80% of them)
If you’re anything like Claude and I you’ll want to dive into every wedding convention to learn what’s out there! When you get there you’ll be given HUNDREDS of magazines and pamphlets that look tempting to keep. DON’T hold onto everything you’re given. The pile will increase and it will begin to become overwhelming. Narrow down your options as soon as you can.

3. Keep a schedule on what needs to get done; example:
✔️
Engaged: 11/13/2016
✔️ Find Venue: 1/12/2017
✔️ Pick Bridal Party: 4/1/2017

4. Write-down every wedding thought or idea that comes to mind
You’ll find tons of wedding inspiration in bridal magazines, Instagram and even Pinterest! If an amazing idea comes to mind, be sure to write it down. Once it slips your memory it may be gone forever or even after the wedding! Capture the thought while it’s still fresh.

..and finally…

5. DO NOT STRESS!!

It’s been 9 months since I’ve started wedding planning with my now fiance and our biggest lessons learned already are just to take things one day at a time and put the stress to rest. Everything with work out in the long run. Well, so we hope! haha

Thanks for stopping by! Oh, and don’t forget to follow me.  =)
