Welcome to my first round of “Battle of the Leave-In Conditioners” with Uniq One All in One Treatment in one corner, weighing in at 5.1 fl oz & It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In Product in the other, weighing in at 4 fl oz. LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLEEEEEE! Ha!

Now, I have very hard-to-manage hair when freshly washed, which gives me HELL when it’s time to detangle. So my leave-in conditioner needs to give me the highest amount of slip possible. After doing some research, I decided to try both Uniq One All in One Treatment and Its A 10 Miracle Leave-In Product, and without any hesitation would choose Uniq One over the other.

Here’s how I broke down the differentiation of the two.

1. Manageability
When saturated in my hair, the Uniq One allows my wide tooth comb to glide through my strands easily. With It’s A 10, it was more so of a battle and even noticed more shedding and tangles with it as compared to the other.

2. Scent

Uniq One has a stronger scent which smells sort of ‘perfumey’ but keeps your hair smelling fragrant for days after you applied it on your initial wash day. If you’re into a more muted and natural scent, It’s A 10 may be the product for you.

3. Price

Amazon has the 5.1 ounce bottle of Uniq One for $11.45 + free shipping and the 4 ounce bottle of It’s A 10 for $13.50 + free shipping. You can easily do the math a see that you’re getting more for your dollar with Uniq One. Although it’s not a huge gap in price, “A penny saved is a penny earned”.

4. Accessibility

By round 4, you can already see that It’s A 10 isn’t going to win this fight, but one thing about it did stand out. I’m not too fond of purchasing my hair products online and enjoy the in-store experience of picking things off the shelf, smelling it, and sampling it on my fingers before purchasing. What I’ve personally noticed, is that It’s A 10 can be found in more stores than Uniq One. I’ve been to several Targets, local Beauty Supply Stores, CVS’s, and Rite Aid’s and have always seen It’s A 10 and rarely ever Uniq One. If you live near an Ulta or Rickys NYC, I’m most definite you’ll be able to pick a bottle up there.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns!

Happy Hair Journey!
